The RailSport Games are being held across the 8th-9th September 2018 at Loughborough endowed schools.
RailSport have been encouraging railway staff to participate and get involved in the Games since the early 1990s. The RailSport Games tournament was established by the British Rail Staff Association, and with the support of many fantastic volunteers, it is a great opportunity for members of the rail industry to have some competitive fun.
RailSport consists of various sporting activities and tournaments including chess, tennis, badminton, football, cycling, running, rounders, darts and a triathlon.
The Games are a tool for promoting a healthier workplace. Research conducted by the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) indicated that ill health costs the UK rail industry around £790 million a year. RailSport aims to improve health and wellbeing throughout the industry through competitive sport.
