Leicester_Rail_Station_-_geograph.org.uk_-_1266728The ‘Station to Station’ event has brought together community groups, train operators, Network Rail, and a wide range of rail industry organisations, who are united in demonstrating that railways have never been more important for communities.

“Over the past 90 years the Rail Industry has played a vital role within the UK, galvanising our communities and strengthening our economy and therefore it was and always will be an essential pillar within our society. I am therefore delighted to hear that the Railways across the UK, are collaborating together to help celebrate the genuinely historic occasion of HM Queen Elizabeth II, 90th Birthday”. Dame Lorna Muirhead DBE Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside

The Station to Station Queen’s Celebration will also provide a wonderful platform to showcase the diversity of jobs, we as an industry, have to offer. With a focus on the next generation, the entire rail industry supply chain will be given a unique opportunity to promote apprenticeships and career opportunities to the wider public.
